Vijayawada, 19th September 2025 – A one-day workshop was held at the Regional Office, Krishna DCCB, focusing on the registration of Multi-Purpose Facility Centre (MPFC) Godowns with the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA).
The program was chaired by Smt. P.S. Mani, Chief General Manager, APCOB, along with Smt. Maneesha Raman, Deputy Registrar, Cooperation Department, and senior officials from WDRA. The workshop was attended by District PACS Development Managers (DPDMs), DCCB officials, and Department Officers, who were briefed on the registration process and its benefits for the cooperative ecosystem.

148 PACS Godowns Identified: As of now, around 148 PACS godowns have been shortlisted for registration with WDRA.
Eligibility Criteria: PACS must demonstrate a positive net worth in the last financial year to qualify for registration.
Benefits of Registration:
WDRA-accredited godowns will receive an official certificate of accreditation, enhancing their credibility.
Such godowns will be recognized by government agencies for procurement and storage purposes.
Farmers can avail institutional credit by pledging stocks stored in these godowns.
Promotes scientific warehousing practices and transparent operations within PACS.

The initiative is expected to strengthen PACS operations and improve financial access for farmers. With WDRA-certified godowns, PACS can facilitate:
